Lily Blossom

Lily Blossom found her way to my pony herd last night (thanks to my friend Laura and her bf!)
This pony has such beautiful colours. I wished her eyes hadn't been pink as it seems like a little odd choice for a grey/purple pony with yellow hair. It doesn't look bad or anything but I feel like some shade of yellow would've looked super nice instead. Oh well, she's still a beauty! ^__^

She was the first pony to come with factory mistakes on her. When I took her out of the box I found out she had a black smudge on the right side of her forehead which couldn't be seen when she was inside the box. I also found a deepish dent on her front leg that's probably come from something pressign on against it for a long period of time. I fortunately managed to rub the smudge off with a rubber but the dent on her leg is there to stay. I'll just think it's a battle scar from some awesome adventure she had in the past. Lily Blossom is a cool girl!

I'm hoping to give her curls so I braided her hair after wetting it with hot water. Hopefully they turn out nice. :)

Blossomforth

Got Blossomforth in the mail today. She's a beauty with gentle, slightly sad eyes. I need to find a way to style the hair of my ponies because they seem to be all over the place by default. The hair's so hard to take out the box without damaging it. I can't see why the mane and the tail have to be taped so well inside the box. I tried soaking her hair in hot water for a bit to tame the horrible frizzy monster that was her mane and it looks much better now. Think I need to buy some styling gel/mousse to give it a nice finishing touch. :)

I really want to build a photographing set for pony photographs as well. When I have some proper free time I might pop in the Hobby Craft next door and see what they have. :)
The hedgehog animal friend that came with Blossomforth is quite adorable as well. One of the best ones so far in my collection.

Candy Colours

Found even more new blind bag ponies yesterday and I've nearly got all the wave 3 ones I've been hoping to find. My other half helped me dig through all the blind bag boxes we found with a numbered checklist so I didn't miss any and got the ones I've been looking for. Haha. :D
I love how colourful they are. True eye candy!

Blind Bag Crazy

I was lucky and found the neighbour shop had just got a new stock of pony blind bags in. Of course, I rummaged through them bought a handful of new ones and managed to find quite many I had on my wish list. :) They're so pretty and colourful I can't resist!
There are also so many I wish were made into the brushable ponies as the current ones out there are so dominated by the colour pink. I'd love to see more greens and yellows! Not that I mind pink though (I love it) but I'd love to have a variety and colour in my collection.
I'm so happy that they're makin Lyra/Heartstrings into a brushable pony. She's going to be one of the first ones I'm going to buy once the new ones come out later this year. She's such a lovely colour. I got her as a blind bag version as well:
Golden Harvest has also been very high on my list and I finally managed to find her! So yellow and cheerful. She also looks cute with Goldengrape:

There's something about looking at a good sized collection of toys that gives me a ridiculous amount of joy. It's not really the amount of them but the way they look when there are many different shapes and colours right next to each other. It seems so perfect that they're all so different but still look so nice together. :)

Carousel and Carriage

Sister sent me a photo of the fun pony stuff she's found for me. I thought I was going to go crazy when I saw all this. So many ponies and so much cuteness.
It'll take a while before the stuff arrives to me as she has to ship them to me from Finland but oh my, I'm already super excited about owning them. The loose Rarity on the front will stay with my sister's and she's styled the pony's hair nicely to look more like the show Rarity. :)

Star Swirl looks so deadly cute in the carriage I almost can't take it.

Blind Bag Ponies

I love the brushable ponies and they're my main pony interest, but I also like the Blind Bag ones. There's such a massive amount of them to collect!
I've got 8 blind bag ponies so far. From left to right are:
Pudding Pie, Pinkie Pie, Noteworthy, Lulu Luck, Meadow Song, Lovestruck, Glow in the dark Rarity and Rainbow Flash.
I think Rainbow Flash is my current favourite out of these. She's got such nice colours and that pose is fun. I have many many more on my wishlist and hope to grow my bling bag pony collection as well. :)

My wishlist for the blindbags is: Cherry Spices, Firecracker Burst, Flower Wishes, Minty, Pepperdance, Dewdrop Dazzle, Ribbon Heart, Tea Love, Big MacIntosh, Bitta Luck, Golden Grape, Golden Harvest, Lucky Dreams and Sprinkle Shine. Hopefully I'll be lucky enough to find bags with some of this lot in them. :)

In other pony news, my sister managed to find Rarity's Carousel Boutique for me this morning. So I'm a proud owner of the lovely bonus pony Sweetie Swirl and the glittery version of Rarity now as well. Happy happy! ^__^

A fellow pony fan friend found the Pony School Pals set for me as well, so I'll be having some pony babies joining my herd soon. (Thanks Uninu!) I'll also be getting the cute flying pony called Flitterheart from her. She comes with a super cute piggy friend as well.

Three Ponies

At the moment, my pony collection consists of three beautiful pony girls. From left to right are Glimmer Wings Rarity, Fluttershy and Glimmer Wings Ploomette. Fluttershy was my first pony who was given to me as a gift by Kihi, who's a very dear friend of mine and also the one to blame for my pony obsession. Without Fluttershy I wouldn't have realised how lovely this new generation 4 of ponies is. So if I starve to death, my friend is the one responsible. :I

I really love the Glimmer Wings ponies. The wings are glittery and they open and close. I was expecting the ponies to constantly fall over from the weight of the wings but the ponies turned out to be surprisingly sturdy. I hope Hasbro makes more Glimmer Wing ponies that are not the main cast of the Friendship is Magic series as I'd prefer to not have character doubles. (Apart from Rarity, because a butterfly version of her is a show accurate toy and therefore a must have for me!)

I'm currently waiting for various pony deliveries. I've pretty much bothered everyone I know about ponies and asked them to hunt ponies for me. :D The MLP selection in the UK is apparently very poor and I've been unable to find ponies I want in the shops around here (apart from the winged Rarity, whom I found literally next door.)
So my friends and family in Finland have been helping me out a lot as well as some kind members at the MLP Arena forums. I've been really surprised of everyone's kindness at the forums! It's a lovely hobby group to be a part of.

A list of ponies I'm currently waiting to arrive are:
Also Lily Blossom (thanks Laura!)
Earlier today I got a call from my sister who had been lucky and found the International exclusive Royal Gem Carriage set with the bonus pony, Star Swirl in it. Oh how I've wanted that bonus pony! She's such a nice shade of blue and has been very high on my wish list. :) My sister asked if she could keep the Rarity that comes with the set and just send me the bonus pony and the carriage and I was more than happy to say yes. Also, it's nice that she has some FiM ponies now as well.

Hopefully everything goes well with all the deliveries! I've already lost two ponies in the mail due to a massive amount of bad luck with the post office etc but luckily I got a refund. The fate of those ponies lost in the mail bothers me though! I hope they've found a good place to call their home in the end.

Pony Table

I found this lovely antique-like half circle table from a store next door. I had been eyeing it for a while and finally decided to go buy it. I couldn't be happier with my decision. :)
It's a nice colour and shape, and it has all those decorative details on it as well. I've been planning to paint the details on the table so they stand out more but haven't decided on a colour yet.

Anyway, this is my official "toy table" but it's most likely going to be taken over by ponies once my collection grows a bit. At the moment Oliver, my ball-jointed resin dolls keeps company to the ponies. It's good to have her on display as well.

Tuesday 21 February 2012

Dear New Blog,

I've been collecting toys most of my life and so far I have fallen in love with Schleich, Pokémon, Ball jointed dolls and My Little Pony. The latter being my most recent and currently biggest obsession. It would seem like ponies are all I ever talk about lately so instead of boring everyone around me I felt like starting a separate toy blog would be a brilliant idea.
I'll most likely be posting photos of my collection as well as general toy collector babble.

Here's a photo I took of my Fluttershy for the Valentine's day. Enjoy~
